The office of the President of Ukraine confirmed information about the strike of the Russian occupation army with an Iskander ballistic missile on the Cabinet of Ministers building on the night of September 7.
This was reported by the head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak following a conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
The official noted that he had conveyed information about the latest Russian strikes, in particular, on the Cabinet of Ministers building.
"Informed about constant strikes by Russians, who attack our cities, residential buildings, with drones and missiles. They kill civilians, children, destroy our infrastructure. For the first time, the enemy attacked the building of the Government of Ukraine – the strike was carried out by an Iskander ballistic missile," the statement said.
He also reported that the parties discussed security guarantees, defense support for Ukraine and tightening sanctions against the Russian Federation, as well as coordination of actions with partners.
"Putin understands only force, does not want to stop the war, it is necessary to continue pressure on the Russian Federation. Sustainable peace is our goal, which we must achieve. I thanked President Donald Trump for his leadership in the desire to end Russia's war against Ukraine and the entire American people for their support and assistance. I also thank Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who is doing a lot." Yermak.
Let us recall that on the night of September 7, the Russians attacked Ukraine with 818 air strikes. In particular, in Kiev, in the Svyatoshinsky district, a hit was recorded on a 9- and 16-story building. Three people died, including a mother with a baby, and 18 more were injured. In the Darnitsky district , a four-story residential building was damaged.
There was also information that the government building was damaged. The Ambassador of the European Union Katarina Mathernova showed the Russian ballistic missile "Iskander" that hit the Cabinet building.
