Blinken will make his seventh visit to the Middle East as part of a diplomatic mission to the region since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken will expand his trip to the Middle East and visit Jordan and Israel after a trip to Saudi Arabia. This was stated on Sunday, April 28, by State Department Speaker Matthew Miller, writes Reuters .

In a statement, Miller said Blinken would focus on efforts to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza that would allow for the release of hostages and ensure an extension or increase in humanitarian aid in the enclave.

Antony Blinken's visit will last from Monday to Wednesday.

Blinken is currently traveling to Saudi Arabia. He will attend the World Economic Forum conference and meet with Arab foreign ministers in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.
