<img src=”https://naked-science.ru/wp-content/uploads/2025/02/ryu_gu-scaled.jpg” alt=”Traces of salt water found in soil of asteroid Ryugu”/>Studying soil samples from the asteroid Ryugu delivered to Earth by the Hayabusa-2 probe, scientists have found sodium carbonates, chlorides and sulfates (salts of chlorine and sulfur) in it. These compounds indicate that salt water was once present on the parent body of the asteroid.
