The Zhalyn coal deposit is located in the Zhanaarkinsky district of the Karaganda region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 350 kilometers from the city of Karaganda. The Zhalyn deposit within the design quarry has been prepared for industrial development. The field has been in operation since 2009. The contract for coal mining at the Zhalyn deposit is owned by Saryarka-ENERGY LLP . The coal mining contract dated December 9, 2008 was concluded with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 25 years.
