Commenting on Russia's recent massive missile attack on Ukraine, the White House said that the United States is doing everything possible to provide Ukraine with everything it needs to combat aggression.

Quote: “We want to make sure that we provide Ukraine with security assistance to protect itself. They are resisting Russian aggression. This is obviously an example of this. And so we do everything we can."

The White House press secretary added that the United States will continue to “provide Ukrainians with what they need to defend themselves.”

On the night of May 7-8, the Russian Federation fired 55 missiles and 20 Shahed drones at energy infrastructure facilities in the Lviv, Vinnitsa, Poltava, Kirovograd, Zaporozhye and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

The Russians attacked electricity production and transmission facilities in six regions of Ukraine. They hit three thermal power plants owned by DTEK, causing serious damage to their equipment.
