The Russians intend to stretch the defense of Ukraine in the Kharkov region

Posted on 20/05/2024

The front line and gray zone in the Kharkov region have grown – the Russian military is trying to purposefully expand it by conducting targeted small-scale attacks in a number of territories.

“Our soldiers are holding back the enemy in these areas. Just recently they repelled 15 enemy attacks. The situation is difficult, but all enemy attacks have been repelled. The gray zone and front line are growing because the enemy is trying to deliberately expand them by attacking in small groups in new directions.”

Sinegubov added that the situation is difficult now, but the Ukrainian Armed Forces are completely in control of it. He further stated that “the evacuation of residents from dangerous areas continues.” A total of 5,700 people were evacuated. On May 13, evacuation teams intend to evacuate another 1,600 people. There are still about 200-300 residents left in the city of Vovchansk.
