In Slovakia, it is believed that Fico’s attacker had accomplices

The special investigative group created by the government on the circumstances of the attempt on Fico’s life does not rule out the possibility that the attacker did not act entirely on his own.

The Slovak government does not rule out that the 71-year-old attacker of Prime Minister Robert Fico had accomplices, reports Dennik N.

Interior Minister Matus Shutai Eshtok said that the special investigative group created in the government into the circumstances of the assassination attempt on Fico does not rule out the possibility that the attacker did not act entirely on his own.

This assumption is indicated, in particular, by the deletion of his Facebook account and messenger correspondence two hours after the assassination attempt, although the attacker was detained immediately.

“It (the account) was not deleted by him and, apparently, not by his wife,” Shutay Eshtok noted.

At the same time, the minister rejected rumors that the attacker’s accomplices could have been a man and a woman standing at the barrier from where he fired.

Let us remind you that on May 15, 71-year-old Juraj Cintula shot several times at Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico. The assassination attempt occurred after a government retreat in the city of Gandlova.
