Poland has stopped negotiations with Ukraine on the issue of farmers' protests at the border due to the announcement of suspicion of corruption to former Minister of Agricultural Policy Nikolai Solsky.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Poland Michal Kolodziejczak in an interview with Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.
Negotiations with Kiev have been interrupted because we will not negotiate with people accused of corruption. this issue needs to be clarified. We had planned another round of talks for May 14, but they were cancelled,” he said.
Kolodziejczak also noted that the farmers' protests are almost over.
Those that still appear from time to time are organized on political orders and carried out by people who are used to campaigning before elections to the European Parliament, the official said.
