One North Korean fighter tried to trick the Special Operations Forces soldiers and blow himself up with them on a grenade.

Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled the assault of North Korean troops in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation and killed 18 enemy soldiers. This was reported to the Ukrainian military on Monday, January 13.

It is indicated that the assault lasted from morning until night in Kurshchina. During this time, rangers of the 6th Special Operations Regiment destroyed 17 DPRK soldiers, and one of them blew himself up with a grenade.

"Towards morning, a special forces cleanup group moved out and came across one surviving DPRK fighter. He set an unsuccessful trap for the 6th Regiment rangers. The North Korean fighter tried to deceive the special forces soldiers and blow himself up with them on a grenade," the report says.

The military claims that the special forces soldiers noticed the danger in time and quickly left the affected area. That is why none of them were hurt.
