First commercial space mission SpaceX Inspiration4 launches September 15

SpaceX is preparing the first commercial space mission, Inspiration4, for launch on September 15. The crew consists of four people, none of whom are professional astronauts.

The SpaceX and Inspiration4 teams have already met at SpaceX headquarters in California to assess the readiness of the Falcon 9 rocket, Dragon spacecraft, ground systems, recovery facilities, crew training and other key elements.

“Upon completion of the flight readiness review, teams will proceed to target launch on Wednesday, September 15 UTC (September 14 ET) from Launch Complex 39A at NASA Space Center. Kennedy in Florida. The backup launch option is available on Thursday, September 16 UTC (September 15 EST). Both 24-hour launch windows begin at 12:00 UTC,” it said.

The mission crew consists of businessman Jared Isaacman, pilot Sian Proctor, flight doctor Hayley Arsenault and flight engineer Chris Sembroski. Crew members are scheduled to arrive in Florida on September 9 to make final preparations for the mission. The crew has been participating in various training activities over the past six months.
